And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,
And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.
These going before tarried for us at Troas.
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.
And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.

  徒 20:1-3> 在保罗未到以前,罗马已有教会了吗?若没有,罗马书写给谁?其内容…… 

  20:1-3 保罗在希腊时,很多时候都在哥林多,并在这里写了罗马书。虽然他那时尚未到过罗马,但是信徒已在那里建立了教会( 2:10 ; 18:2 ),保罗在信中提到他计划去探望罗马的信徒。罗马书是一卷阐明教义的书信,内容提到救恩和信心的意义,解释犹太人和外邦人在基督里的关系,并列出教会处事的一些实际标准。

  徒 20:4> 保罗一个人去耶路撒冷不可以吗?为何要这些教会代表同去? 

  20:4 这些与保罗同行的人代表他在亚西亚设立的教会,每一个代表都带着自己教会给耶路撒冷信徒的捐款。保罗要他们亲自把捐款送去,是要各外邦教会都能直接与耶路撒冷教会接触,以此促进信徒彼此间的合一。同时,这也是教导教会有关施与的有效方法,因为他们可以向教会报告神怎样藉着他们的捐献来工作。保罗在哥林多后书提到这些捐款(参林后 8:1-21 )。 

  徒 20:8-9> 犹推古睡了,是保罗讲道不好听吗…… 

  20:8-9 许多人聚集在这座楼房内,再加上好些灯烛所发出来的热气,使室内十分闷热,况且保罗讲道的时间颇长,难怪犹推古熟睡了,他当时大概是八至十四岁的少年人。 

  徒 20:16> 行色匆匆,保罗所为何事? 

  20:16 保罗错过了在耶路撒冷过逾越节的机会,所以他很希望能赶上过五旬节(逾越节后五十天就是五旬节)。他带着亚西亚和希腊教会给耶路撒冷信徒的捐款上路(参罗 15:25-26 ;林前 16:1-4 ;林后 8:9 )。当时耶路撒冷教会正处于经济困难的时刻。保罗或许急于要在五旬节把捐款交给信徒,因为这是向神献上赞美和感谢的节日。 

  徒 20:18-21> 凡事为人、伤心流泪,他为何还有动力去干?换了是我,很难想像我仍会继续事奉…… 

  20:18-21 天路并不是一条容易走的路;成为基督徒并非一帆风顺。保罗谦卑事奉神,服事人,并且常常流泪,但他从来没有放弃自己的职责。救恩的信息是这么重要,他从来不会放过任何分享福音的机会。基督徒的一生会有各种遭遇,有流泪的时刻和欢呼的时候,但我们应该随时准备好向人分享神为我们所成就的美好事情,祂的祝福永远胜过一生中的难处。 

  徒 20:23> 艰险我奋进,所靠惟我神──这是保罗的坚持;面对困难,你也不会退缩吧…… 

  20:23 圣灵指示保罗,他将会入狱并经历苦难。尽管保罗知道这个情况,然而,他并没有退缩不去完成他的使命。以弗所教会的长老中,有一些人也将会为基督受苦,保罗坚强的性格是他们的好榜样。 

  徒 20:24> 他心只想为神行完他的路程,轻看世间的一切;不知道我们可以吗?世上的事很吸引啊…… 

  20:24 一般人认为,如果一生中在知识、玩乐、金钱、事业上没有很大的收获,人生就是失败的。不过,保罗却认为除非他将生命用来成就神的工作,否则生命便毫无价值。他为生命付出的,远较他从生命中得到什么重要。哪一样对你更重要呢?是从生命中所得着的,还是为生命所付出的呢?如果有人想为神工作,他必须一心一意。保罗是个一心一意的人,他一生中最重要的目标就是向别人介绍基督(参腓 3:7-13 ),无怪乎保罗是有史以来最伟大的宣教士。神正寻找更多只专注大使命的人。 

  徒 20:31,36-38> 常听说,主内相交爱深厚,你也向往啊,不妨看看保罗…… 

  20:31,36-38 保罗与这些信徒的关系,是基督徒相交的美好榜样:他关怀他们,爱他们,甚至为他们的需要而流泪;他们也以爱和关怀来报答他,并且因他的离开而忧伤。他们一同祷告,互相安慰。你也可以像保罗那样,与其他基督徒一同祷告,分享主恩,关怀他人,与人同哀伤,同欢乐,从而建立深厚的情谊,惟有你为身边的人付出时,你才能得着他们。 

  徒 20:33> 已有的,自满足;没有的,不贪求,保罗就是如此;我们嘛…… 

  20:33 只要能够为神工作,保罗对拥有什么,以及身处何地从不介意。请检查你对于财富及安逸生活的态度,假如你关注自己所没有的,过于你所有的,便要重新安排你的优先次序,把神的工作放回第一位。 

  徒 20:34> 保罗织帐棚,为使生活舒适点;你不同意?那你认为…… 

  20:34 保罗是一个织造帐棚的工人,他从事此工作并非为了致富,乃是维持自己和其他同工的生活,而不想倚赖任何人。(参腓 4:11-13 ;帖前 2:9 ) 

  徒 20:35> 记载耶稣生平的福音书也没记载这话,它是怎样流传下来的? 

  20:35 耶稣说的这句话并没有记录在福音书中。很明显,并不是耶稣所说的每一话都记录下来了(参约 21:25 ),这句话大概是由使徒口传下来的。
