After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,
And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;
(Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
I am that bread of life.
Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
约翰福音第六章   第 6 章 

  约 6:5> 耶稣明知不可能找到答案,为何仍要问腓力? 

  6:5 假使有人知道在哪里可找到食物,那人必定是腓力,因他是从十四公里以外的伯赛大来的( 1:44 )。耶稣在试验他,希望加强他的信心。祂要求一个明知是不存在的人为解决办法,其实是要藉着将要行的神迹,显出祂的大能和奇妙的作为。 

  约 6:5-7> 你如何看你手所要做的事?其成功与否是基于你的能力吗? 

  6:5-7 耶稣问腓力在哪里可以买到那么多的饼,腓力便开始估计所需要的费用。耶稣要教导他,金钱不是最重要的。我们假定某些事情可能或不可能发生时,便限制了神在我们生命中的工作。神是否交托你一些职责,而你却认为是不能完成的工作呢?不要凭自己的估计而不肯接受那些职责,神的作为非常奇妙,要相信祂会供应你一切所需用的。 

  约 6:8-9> 你拥有很多?很少?这都不重要;你可知道神看重什么? 

  6:8-9 这里,门徒与那小孩子成了强烈的对比,门徒显然比那孩子拥有更多东西,但因为他们认为那并不足够,就什么也没有拿出来;那小孩纵使拥有的甚少,却把一切都奉上,就带来全然不同的结果。假若我们什么也不献给神,祂就无物可用,但如果我们能献上哪怕是极少的东西,祂也能用来成就大事。 

  约 6:8-9> 我人微言轻,我不配事奉神,你想我们的神是这样看的吗? 

  6:8-9 耶稣往往通过人去施行神迹。这里,祂取了小孩所奉上的去成就一个福音书中最特别的神迹。服事神不会受年龄限制。不要以为自己太年轻或太年老而不能服事祂。 

  约 6:13> 我把所有的都交给了主,我还剩下什么?你看,那剩下的够多吧…… 

  6:13 剩下的零碎也有意思:神充充足足地赐予我们。祂使用我们所交出的一切,包括时间、才能、资源,然后加倍赐福,超过我们所想所求。只要你踏出第一步,摆上自己,祂会让你知道自己可以为神的国成就多大的事。 

  约 6:14> 6:14 这“先知”是指摩西预言的那一位(参申 18:15 )。 

  耶稣在水面上行走 

  约 6:18> 人生巨浪,骤然而至,生命之舟在海中颠簸;你,害怕吗? 

  6:18 加利利海低于海平面 198 公尺,深 137 公尺,四周环山。这样的地理环境经常导致突如其来的风暴,在加利利海掀起滔天巨浪,甚为骇人。耶稣在风暴中在水面上步行到门徒那里,叫他们不用害怕。我们也常遇到信仰和情绪上的风暴,感觉就如大海中的小船那样颠簸。即使情况甚是骇人,只要让基督掌管我们的生命,祂必在任何风暴中使我们安稳平静。 

  约 6:18-19> 困难就如大波浪,汹涌翻滚地盖过来,你大喊出来,你在叫谁? 

  6:18-19 门徒在惊惶中以为遇见了鬼怪(参可 6:49 ),但如果他们想起自己曾目睹耶稣所作的一切,便能够接受这个神迹。他们感到惊恐,因料不到耶稣会到来,更没有心理准备接受祂的帮助。信心就是在心理上作好准备,期待神会行事,我们若活在这种期望中,便能克服恐惧。 

  约 6:26> 今天你我不会再为一碗面、一罐奶粉而到教会信耶稣,那我们为何仍要追随祂? 

  6:26 耶稣批评那些跟随祂的人,只是为着肉体和短暂的利益,而不是为着满足灵性上的渴求。许多人利用宗教来博取名誉、安慰、甚或政治选票,这些都是自私的动机。真正的信徒跟随耶稣,纯粹因为祂是真理,是引向生命的道路。 

  约 6:28-29> 有时我不明白,我明明在教会努力事奉,为何所得的只是累?如何才可以真正得着主? 

  6:28-29 很多诚心寻求神的人,都会为“神要我们做什么?”这个问题而感到困惑。人类尝试解答这个问题而产生世上各种宗教,耶稣却在这里给了我们一个简短的答案:相信祂是神所差来的。我们不是用工作来满足神,乃是藉我们所相信的来讨祂喜悦。首先要接受耶稣是永生神的儿子,所有灵性上的成长都是建筑在这个信念上。向耶稣祷告说:“主啊,你是基督,是永生神的儿子。”(参太 16:16 )开始过信心的生活,讨神的喜悦。 

  约 6:35> 饿了你会吃,渴了你会喝;你的生命,是啊,与神同行的生命,又如何?你有吃有喝吗? 

  6:35 人藉着食物解决肉体的饥饿,维持肉身的生命;我们只可以藉着与基督的正确关系满足灵性的饥渴、维持属灵生命,难怪耶稣自称为生命的粮。维持生命,必须吃东西;同样,我们必须与基督同行,来维持属灵的生命。 

  约 6:37-38> 从前我随心所欲,随己意而行,好惬意啊;如今信了主,我…… 

  6:37-38 耶稣不是单独做工,而是与父神联合的。这应使我们更确定神喜欢与我们同在,保护我们。耶稣来到世上的目的,是要遵行神的旨意,而不是满足人性的欲望,我们跟从耶稣,就应有同样的目标。 

  约 6:39> 我信了,但有时候我也会想,会否到最后发现所信的不是真的?我不敢想…… 

  6:39 耶稣说,不会失掉父神赐给祂的任何一个人,所以任何人只要真心决志,相信耶稣基督是救主,就必照神的应许获得永生。基督不会让撒但夺取属神的人,使他们不获拯救( 17:12 ;参腓 1:6 )。 

  约 6:40> 耶稣再来时,我们就会复活!你不开心吗?或是你没有把握? 

  6:40 当基督再来时,信靠基督的人将复活,这是肉身的复活,永远与神同在。 

  约 6:41> 当时的人竟看不起耶稣,为什么?我就不会看不起人──且慢,你可记得那次跟那次…… 

  6:41 约翰说的犹太人,是指敌对耶稣的犹太领袖,而不是一般的犹太人,耶稣和约翰自己均是犹太人。 

  约 6:41> 人都希望有一个大能的神引领前路,但又不想事事听祂,难道人都是想讨便宜? 

  6:41 宗教领袖暗中议论,因不能接受耶稣自称是神,只把祂看作一个从拿撒勒来的木匠,因而拒绝相信祂是神的圣子,也不能忍受祂的言论。很多人不相信耶稣是神的儿子,所以拒绝祂,事实上,他们只是不能接受耶稣所要求的忠心和顺服而已,为了保护自己,也就否认耶稣。 

  约 6:44> 谢谢好朋友,带领我去见耶稣;谢谢好导师,介绍耶稣给我;还有──神?不用吧…… 

  6:44 在拯救的事上,采取主动的是神,不是人。当人选择相信耶稣基督为救主,只是回应神圣灵的呼唤。神呼唤我们,我们才决定相信与否,因此,没有人能无需神的帮助而会相信耶稣。 

  约 6:45> 我心中有这一句话,不要单单听道,乃要行道;我就是不解,好像我只会听…… 

  6:45 耶稣暗指旧约弥赛亚王国,即神国的观念,当中的子民直接得到神的教导(参赛 54:13 ;耶 31:31-34 )。祂强调不单听,更要学习。神透过圣经、我们的经验、圣灵带给我们的意念,和其他基督徒来教导我们。你向神的教导开放自己没有呢?你打开心灵接受神的教导没有? 

  约 6:47> 信的人有永生,如何信?顺口说我信?只在口里说我信? 

  6:47 这里“相信”一词指“继续相信”,我们不是只相信一次,而是一生不断地相信并倚靠耶稣。 

  约 6:48-51> 耶稣是与众不同的!你说。那可以告诉我,祂如何不同?如何特别?我也想信祂…… 

  6:48-51 宗教领袖经常要耶稣向他们证明,为什么祂比他们以前的先知更好,耶稣这里提到在旷野摩西给他们祖先吃吗哪(参出 16 章),这食物是会腐烂的。人吃了这食物可以维持生命,但必须每天都吃,况且这粮不能令他们不死。耶稣比摩西伟大得多,自愿作为从天上来的灵粮,完全满足人,为人带来永生。 

  6:51 耶稣怎样把祂的“肉”赐给我们吃呢?吃生命的粮是指接受基督,让祂进入我们的生命中,与祂联合。我们可以藉两个途径与基督联合:( 1 )相信祂的牺牲,肉身的死亡,并且复活;( 2 )信靠圣灵,向祂支取能力,奉献自己,以祂的教导作为指引,遵照祂所吩咐的去生活。 

  约 6:56> 吃人肉?喝人血?耶稣不是这么残忍吧?真不明白祂所说的…… 

  6:56 吃人的肉,喝人的血,这话实在叫人难以接受。宗教领袖厌恶这喝人血的说法,因为这是律法所禁止的(参利 17:10-11 )。耶稣当然不是在讲字面上的“血”,而是在解释,他们要从祂那里得生命,但他们却不能接受这概念。使徒保罗其后讲论圣餐时,也用身体和血作比喻(参林前 11:23-26 )。 

  约 6:63-65> 我心有个微小的声音,你也知道他?可是有时候他的意见我们不一定想听,他是…… 

  6:63-65 圣灵赐予我们属灵生命,没有圣灵的工作,我们根本看不到自己需要新生命( 14:17 )。灵性上的重生始于神,也终于神,祂向我们启示真理,住在我们心中,使我们能够回应真理。 

  约 6:66> 信仰道上,困难时出,你看门徒也离开耶稣,那么多难明的道理,我如何面对? 

  6:66 为什么耶稣这句话使不少门徒离开祂?( 1 )他们感到祂不是他们所期望的,以胜利者姿态出现的弥赛亚君王;( 2 )祂拒绝他们自私的要求;( 3 )祂注重人的信心而非表面的行为;( 4 )祂的教训叫人难以明白,有些话甚至冒犯他们。在我们信心成长的过程中,有时可能会因耶稣的教导艰深难守而放弃信仰,离开耶稣。你是漠视耶稣的教诲,拒绝祂,还是祈求神向你显示那些教诲的意义,指导你怎样把这些教诲应用到生活上,然后勇敢地实践祂的真理呢? 

  约 6:67> 你也想过──要──去──吗?你想过吗? 

  6:67 对耶稣的态度是不能模棱两可的。耶稣问门徒是否也要离开祂,表明他们可以接受或拒绝祂,耶稣并非想用自己的教训把人赶走,只是说出真理。人们愈多听耶稣的信息,就愈分为两派:( 1 )真正想知道更多真理的虔诚慕道者;( 2 )不喜欢听而拒绝耶稣的人。 

  约 6:67-68> 殊途同归,人说世上宗教、学说都是一体的,只要找着一门便成,你说是吗? 

  6:67-68 耶稣在很多门徒离开了自己后,问那十二个门徒是否也要离开祂,彼得回答:“我们还归从谁呢?”他这直截了当的答案告诉我们,并无其他路可走。虽然有许多哲学家和独特的权威,但只有耶稣有永生之道。人四处寻找永生,却忽略了基督这个惟一的源头。在你感到彷徨或孤独时,更要紧靠耶稣。 

  约 6:70> 信耶稣也可以为了自私的理由?真的有这种人存在?不会是我吧…… 

  6:70 对耶稣的信息,有些人的反应是离开祂;有些人则留下,真正相信祂;也有一些人像犹大一样,留下来为图谋私利而利用耶稣。今天,很多人离弃基督,也有人佯装追随祂,他们上教堂是为了地位、家人朋友的接纳、商业的接触等等。但对耶稣只能有两种真正的反应──接受祂或拒绝祂。你怎样回应基督呢?
